Hello and welcome!! As I progress through the world of academia, working on my PhD, I will be using this page to provide reviews on the latest publications in the field of British politics, as well as provide unseen glimpses into my research.

As a historian, I have one key aim; To shed a light on the untold stories of a figure’s life through the memories and documents produced by those closest to them. With my PhD research, I will be assessing fatherhood in British politics during the early twentieth century. This will mean many hours in various archives across the UK uncovering private correspondence and diaries from some of Britain’s most prominent twentieth-century politicians. As I do so, I will share with you insights into the material located, as well as share my experience as a young historian embarking on the professional world.
